The Jubilee Nature Reserve

Situated behind University Hospital the Jubilee Nature Reserve is filled with beautiful wild flowers, an orchard and amazing wildlife all year round.

Take a stroll through the nature reserve, where swans, ducks, moorhens and herons reside. There are many butterflies, damselflies and dragonflies to see gliding serenely across the water. The reserve is home to many wildflowers including orchids at certain times of year, Ox-eye Daisy, Yarrow, Birds-foot trefoil, Lady’s bedstraw, Meadow’s Cranes-bill, Purple loose-strife and Yellow iris to name but a few. It has also welcomed three sculptural artworks by artist Alan Ross.
